THERMONUCLEAR GARLIC BREAD
1 loaf Italian bread, sliced lengthwise
1/2 stick butter or margarine
2 - 3 large cloves fresh garlic, mashed or minced
Parmesan sprinkle cheese
1/8 C. chopped onion (optional)
2 oz. grated Romano cheese (optional)
Preheat oven to about 350Â°F (not critical).
Butter the two halves of the bread loaf with a fairly thick layer.
Spread the mashed or minced garlic evenly over the buttered
surface of the bread. Sprinkle liberally with the Parmesan cheese.
Add a dash of black pepper and/or other spices, to taste.
Optionally, top with chopped onion and Romano cheese. Place
the two halves of the bread together, face-to-face, and wrap the
entire loaf in aluminum foil. Place into oven and let bake for about
half an hour.
