brown the bacon and reserve the fat
in t-tablespoon of bacon fat brown 1 small onion chopped
in a soup pot add onions, 1 large can of chopped tomatoes
and one 15 oz can tomato sauce
add 4 drops liquid smoke (optional)
1 tsp salt
stir and simmer until thickened
to this slowly add a cup of milk more or less depending on how thick (you can use cream )
add 2 tablespoon white sugar
cook just before bubbing apx 20 mintues.
Add the crumbled bacon
serve with fresh ground pepper on top.
Great on cold days. You can add more or less sugar I like to taste just a little sweetness. You can also add ham boulion to get a little more smokey taste.
