Tomato Pudding

Tomato Pudding

4 cups dry bread cubes
1 cup melted butter
2 cups canned tomato puree
1/2 cup water
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt

Put bread cubes in baking dish and pour melted butter over them.

Mix together, in a saucepan, tomato puree, water, brown sugar and salt.
Simmer together for 5 minutes and then mix with buttered bread cubes.

Set baking dish in pan of hot water and bake 45 to 50 minutes in 375 F.,
or until top is well browned.
