Vanilla Powder

Hello!

I have many Italian recipes that have been handed down to me and many of the desserts call for Italian Vanellina, it’s a pure vanilla powder. I’m just wondering if anyone has used the vanilla powder that you find in the U.S. and if would be of the same nature of Vanellina.
