Wild Rice

Hi, I am cooking for one or two. I love wild rice, but hate the length of time it takes to cook. I cook until done and then allow to cool.

A couple of years ago I decided to try freezing leftover cooked wild rice. I put one helping in the tiny (small) snack bags. Freeze them and take them out individually per person at dinner. One snack bag is about the right size for one person.

I do this all the time and just thaw and heat in the microwave.
